Army commander shares lessons from fighting ISIS to US Army

Philippine Army commanding general Lieutenant General Rolando Joselito D. Bautista returned to his Alma Mater to talk on “Defeating the ISIS Threat in the Philippines” to the students of Maneuver Career Captains Course (MCCC) at Fort Benning, Georgia, USA on April 3.

Lieutenant General Bautista finished his Infantry Officer Captains Course in 1998 at US Army Infantry Center, now known as the US Army Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) which is equivalent to Philippine Army’s Infantry Officer Advanced Course.

Bautista also met with US Army Vice Chief of Staff General James McConville on April 4 at Pentagon.

The Army commanding general expressed his appreciation for the invitation of the US Army especially on the opportunity to share the lessons learned in combating the ISIS threat in the Philippines, the Philippine Army said.
