The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is prepared to repel any retaliatory attacks by terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group after one of their leaders Anduljihad “Idang” Susukan was taken into government custody, AFP spokesman Major General Edgard Arevalo said over ABS-CBN’s TeleRadyo.

“We thank Chairman Nur Misuari for facilitating the negotiation between the PNP headed by Police Col. Kirby John Kraft, Davao City Director, and Edang Susukan,” Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Archie Gamboa said on Thursday as quoted by Inquirer.net.
