Armed Forces chief inspects Armor Division’s latest capabilities

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Noel Clement visited the Philippine Army’e Armor Division (AD) on Monday, October 22 at Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac.

Among the activities of the AFP chief at the Armor Division is the inspection of M1132 Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs).

“During his visit, AD conducted a capability demonstration of the APC’s Remote Control Weapon Station recently acquired. The AD also showed ongoing capability upgrade program on mounted weapons control system and delivery platforms,” the AFP said.

The AFP chief also visited the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) headed by Major General Cornelio Valencia.

“A weapons simulator system was likewise demonstrated where marksmanship training in a virtual and controlled environment is used to further enhance basic war fighting skills of soldiers. The CSAFP personally conveyed his tone of command through these visits and exhorted officers, men, and women to perform their respective roles to better serve the nation,” the AFP said.
