Another segment of Laguna Lake Highway now open

The government led by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar, Department of Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Vince Dizon, and Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano held the opening of another 700 meters of the Laguna Lake Highway (C-6 Road) today, June 26.

The DOTr said the opening of another segment, 10.4 kilometers out of the 10.686 kilometers of the Laguna Lake Highway (from ML Quezon to Barkadahan Bridge) is now open to traffic.

“Once completed, travelers between Rizal province and the eastern corridor of Metro Manila,” DOTr said.

“This the Laguna Lake Highway is expected to become he best alternative to EDSA and C-5 Road, and is expected to refuce travel time from Taytay to Bicutan from one (1) hour to only 30 minutes or less,” it added.
