Air Force wing holds first Air Weapons Controller Instructor Course

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing has culminated its first Air Weapons Controller Instructor Course Class-01.

In line with the completion of course, the 580th ACWW conducting a culminating event at Wallace Air Station, City of San Fernando, La Union on June 9 with Wing Commander Brigadier General Augustine S. Malinit.

“The Class composed of five (5) Air Weapons Controllers is now the Unit’s catalyst for academic excellence for the incoming students of the Air Weapons Controller Course, Associate Weapons Technician Course, Aerospace Warning System Operator Course and other Radar-related training,” 580th ACWW said.

“A dunking ceremony for the graduates was conducted symbolizing their enthusiasm to plunge into a new level of possibilities and new triumphs for the Scanners Family of the Philippine Air Force,” it added.
