Air Force sends 3 aircraft for West Philippine Sea patrols

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) deployed 3 AS-211 aircraft to Tactical Operations Wing (TOW) West on February 24 to provide assets for Maritime Air Patrol (MARPAT) missions of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Command (WESCOM) in its area of operations.

The aircraft will be based at Antonio Bautista Air Base in Puerto Princesa City, TOW West said.

TOW West said the deployment “will enhance the operational tempo of WESCOM in securing the territorial integrity of the country in the West Philippine Sea as well as the Malampaya Deep Water Gas to Power Project.”
