The Deck Landing Qualification Course 01-19 was held at Pier 13, South Harbor, Manila; Major Danilo Atienza Air Base, Sangley Point, Cavite City; and in the vicinity of Manila Bay.

The set of activities aim to maintain a high level of proficiency and professionalism in deck landing and in time for the execution of AJEX “DAGIT-PA” 02-19 which will be held on September 16 to 27, 2019 and KAMANDAG 03-19 on October 2019, respectively.

The activities were divided into three phases. Phase 1 was the Ground Academics which a pre-requisite to the actual deck landing in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures of the Philippine Navy. This phase was composed of lectures and ocular inspection of the LD 602. Phase 2 was the Static Deck Landing which was attended by the four (4) PAF Units (15th SW, 205th THW, 250th PAW, and 505th SRG). Lastly, Phase 3 was the Steaming/Lying to Deck Landing.

These activities helped the pilots in gaining experience and self-confidence on Deck Landing Operations. The last Deck Landing Qualification Course was conducted way back in 2014. PAF.MIL.PH
