Air Force gets new equipment for aerial firefighting

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) received a new Bambi Bucket on July 29 during a ceremonial turn over held at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base (CJVAB), Pasay City attended by Air Force chief Lieutenant General Rozzano D. Briguez.

The new equipment that can be used for delivering water during an aerial firefighting mission was donated by Rosita Soliman Foundation Inc./Pureforce and Rescue Corporation.

PAF Office of the Assistant Chief of Air Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, A-9 received the equipment in behalf of PAF.

“The Bambi Bucket was turned over to the control of 505th Search and Rescue Group which will be utilized in providing, securing and preventing a fire from any affected area around the country,” PAF said.
