The demonstration was held during the 80th Founding Anniversary of Department of National Defense (DND) held at Dimalupig Hall, AFPCOC, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon city on November 20, 2019.

“ADDT is a computer-based flight simulator that artificially re-creates aircraft flight, cockpit and its environment using an integrated desktop computer,” the 5th Fighter Wing said.

It explained that through the use of ADDT, President Duterte and other senior leaders of the country were given a brief background regarding the relevance of Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft and the vital role it serves in Air Defense Operations.

“Using the F-16 module of the said simulator, a very similar aircraft with the PAF’s FA-50PH, pilots were able to demonstrate its Air-to-Ground, Air-to-Air and other capabilities essential to both internal and external defense of the country,” the 5th Fighter Wing added.
