Air Force acquiring 309 500-lb bombs, 890 rockets

The Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC) through the Philippine Air Force (PAF) is procuring 309 rounds of MK-82 LDGP 500 lbs bombs with accessories and 890 rounds of 2.75” High Explosives (HE) rockets for PAF.

The Invitation to Bid (ITB) was posted in Philgeps.gov.ph.

The acquisition project has a total approved budget of PHP186,558,713.50 – PHP96,230,726.70 for the Mark 82 bombs and PHP90,327,986.80 for the rockets.

“The bidding is open to Local and Foreign manufacturers. However, foreign manufacturers must be represented by a Philippine based company,” says in the ITB.

Delivery is set within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) or opening of Letter of Credit (LOC) “whichever comes later.”

“A prospective Bidder must have completed at least one (1) contract similar to the contract to be bid amounting to at least twenty five percent (25%) of the ABC of the project within the last five (5) years from the date of submission and receipt of bids “Similar contract” shall mean Munitions,” added in the ITB.

Pre-bid conference is scheduled on January 29. Submission and Opening of Bids is set on February 19 at 1pm.
