Agreement on joint exploration with China looking good: Cayetano

Outgoing Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano said that the agreement on West Philippine Sea joint exploration with China is looking good.

“I still have the whole day para tapusin, but I can say it’s looking good from legal, moral, from point of view of protecting territorial rights and economic rights, it’s looking good, the agreement on joint exploration,” Cayetano said.

Cayetano is participating in the 2019 elections to seek for Congress seat as a representative of Taguig City.

He will be replaced by Permanent Representative to the United Nations Teodoro Locsin Jr.

Locsin will receive Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on October 29 during his official visit to Manila.
