AFP Western Command chief visits Joint Task Force Malampaya

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Command (WESTCOM) chief Rear Admiral Ramil Roberto B. Enriquez visited Headquarters Joint Task Force Malampaya in El Nido, Palawan on December 18, 2020.

According to WESCOM, the visit was part of WESCOM chief’s field visit to WESCOM units.

Rear Admiral Enriquez was warmly welcomed and given arrival honors by the personnel of JTF Malampaya led by its Commander, Captain Don Anthony L. Miraflor, PN.

“The highlights of the said visit were talk to men, morale of troops and the unit information briefing,” WESCOM said.

It noted that Rear Admiral Enriquez personally expressed his gratitude to the excellent and dedicated service of the JTF Malampaya troops.

Enriquez emphasized the importance of security consciousness, financial management and the importance of career and military service.

He also underscored the significant contribution of the task force in securing the Malampaya Natural Gas to Power Project which caters the 40% energy requirement of the Luzon grid, if hampered, will result to 10hrs blackout in Luzon, and the rise of electricity rate.
