900th Air Force Weather Group arrives in Isabela for cloud seeding


The Cloud Seeding Operations Team aboard Nomad N-22C with tail number 87 of Philippine Air Force (PAF)’s 900th Air Force Weather Group (900AFWG) arrived at Headquarters, Tactical Operations Group 2, Cauayan, Isabela on July 15, 2020.

The team is carrying out Cloud Seeding Operations over Region II in partnership with the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM).

“Initial coordination and briefing was conducted on 16 July 2020 participated by the 900AFWG Cloud Seeding Operations Team, Pilots and Crew from 220AW and 900AFWG and representatives from DA-BWSM,” 900AFWG said.

“A total of 10 hours of cloud seeding operations will be conducted over the vicinity of Isabela to help increase the water supply in the said area for domestic consumption utilizing the Nomad N-22C #87 of the 220AW. 200 sacks or 5,000 kilograms of seeding agent (salt) will be dispersed during the conduct of the entire cloud seeding mission,” 900AFWG added.
