Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa said that the policemen involved in shooting incident on June 29 that killed 4 intel soldiers in Jolo, Sulu will be transported to Camp Crame this week.
“I was supposed to bring the nine respondents policemen to Manila pero nagkaroon ng problema dahil nag-positive ‘yung isa. I’m putting now the responsibility to the regional director of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (BAR) Police Brigadier General Manuel Abu to bring the policemen anytime this week to Camp Crame, so si RD ang escort,” Police General Gamboa said during July 6 press briefing.
“‘Yung isa nag IgM (Immunoglobulin M) positive – it does not necessarily conclude na COVID ‘yun, it’s just he has developed certain antibodies confronting a specific bacteria or virus,” he said.
The PNP chief said that the policeman who tested positive with rapid antibody test will be tested using RT–PCR this week. “Kung positive he will be treated – kung negative sa COVID sabay-sabay sila dadalhin sa Manila,” he said.
“Sinabi ko lang sa kanila, you will go to Crame para ma-diffuse ‘yung tension and then expect kung ano ‘yung sasabihin ng NBI that hindi ako makikialam so kung mayroong liable sa inyo, so be it. For the meantime, you will be under the custody of the Philippine National Police,” the PNP chief said.
