4 Chinese nationals released by BuCor up for deportation: Immigration

News

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Thursday said the four Chinese nationals who were reportedly released by the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) are now in their custody and facing deportation proceedings.

Melvin Mabulac, BI deputy spokesperson, identified them as Chan Chit Yue, Kin San Ho, Ching Che, and Wu Hing Sum.

The four are now detained at BI’s Warden Facility in Taguig City.

“Summary deportation order was signed and approved by the Board of Commissioners on August 23, 2019,” Mabulac said in a statement.

He said deportation order will be implemented right after needed documents including the Bureau of Immigration (BI) clearance, are complied with.

“BI exercises its ministerial function to deport foreign nationals who completed the service of sentence in Philippine prison,” said Mabulac, who is also chief of the BI’s National Operations Center.

He said the foreign nationals will be expelled for being undesirable aliens.

Once deported, the Chinese nationals will be placed in the Immigration’s blacklist to prevent them from re-entering the Philippines.

On Thursday, Senator Panfilo Lacson reported that several Chinese were released by the BuCor in the past two months. PNA.GOV.PH
