2,000 to 3,000 members of Chinese PLA reportedly in Philippines: Lacson urges intel community to validate

Senator Ping Lacson has revealed he received information that around 2,000 to 3,000 members of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) – the armed forces of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) – are in the Philippines.

However, the senator noted that this information needs to be validated. Lacson is urging the intelligence community to validate the information.

“The information na shinare ko kay Senator Gordon, na talagang a good number of PLA – unvalidated ito ha, subject for validation – and we’re talking here of 2,000 to 3,000, ‘yun ang number na nabanggit,” Senator Lacson told senate reporters on March 4.

“Pero kailangan invalidate natin. Hindi naman ito confirmed and I urge the intelligence community to confirm,” he clarified.

“Baka nasa immerssion mission,” the senator said. “For what purpose hindi pa rin natin alam.”
