The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced the completion of shipment and transportation for two Tunnel Boring Machine (TBMs) from Japan for the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP).
TBMs dubbed as “Kaunlaran” and “Perlas ng Silangan” arrived completely on April 22.
According to DOTr, the MMSP is a 36-kilometer project connecting Valenzuela Depot to NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City and FTI. It aims to reduce travel time from the Valenzuela Depot to NAIA Terminal 3 to just 45 minutes, from the original 1 hour and 30 minutes.
