“Based on latest developments, we are expecting the first two units of T-129 Attack Helicopters for the Philippine Air Force (PAF) to be delivered this September,” Department of National Defense Spokesperson Director Arsenio Andolong said as quoted by Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) radio DWDD.
Two more units are expected to be delivered in February 2022 and 2 more in February 2023.
PAF’s 15th Strike Wing has reported a send-off ceremony was held for pilots and crew who will operate the upcoming Turkish T129 ATAK attack helicopters.
According to the 15th Strike Wing, the pilots and crew will be in Turkey until August this year. Training will be held at Turkish Aerospace Industries, Ankara, Turkey.
