2 Helicopters for PNP spotted

Two Airbus Helicopters H125 single-engine helicopters for the Philippine National Police (PNP) were spotted as shown in photos uploaded by MaxDefense Philippines provided by one of its community members.

“Looks like the Philippine National Police (PNP) received not just one, but two brand new Airbus Helicopters H125 single-engined helicopters in the delivery made last 17-18 March 2019,” MaxDefense said.

According to Airbus, the H125, previously named the AS350 B3e, outclasses all other single-engine helicopters for performance, versatility, low maintenance, and low acquisition costs, while excelling in high and hot and extreme environments.

“It is a member of Airbus’ Ecureuil family, which has accumulated more than 33 million flight hours worldwide,” Airbus adds.

The PNP has awarded two contracts to Airbus Helicopters for supply and delivery of 4 single-engine helicopters. The first contract was awarded in December 2017 for 2 helicopters under General Ronald dela Rosa. The second contract was awarded in July 2018 under General Oscar Albayalde.
