The new soldiers who are eager to help bring end to the local communist armed conflict started their training on June 17, 2019.

“The Government and the people should work together. As provincial governor, I follow the lead of the president on taking active and decisive action to counter communist terrorists groups,” Aurora Province Governor Gerardo Noveras said in a message delivered by his peace advisor retired Colonel Fernando Calugtong.

7ID commander Major General Lenard T. Agustin told the new soldiers, “This is just the start of your journey as a soldier. Expect that you will face many challenges, and your life may be even put on the line, but that is part and parcel of our noble profession.”

“As for the parents of our new soldiers here, today, our highest respect goes to all of you for giving your love, support and understanding to our young soldiers. You serve as their inspiration,” Major General Agustin added.
