Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III, Trade Secretary Ramon M. Lopez, COVID-19 response Chief Implementor Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr., and Dr. Gerardo Legaspi of UP-PGH were present during the turn over 10,000 locally manufactured personal protective equipment (PPEs).

DOH noted that it is grateful for the member-companies of the Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines (CONWEP) who, through the partnership with DTI, DOH, BOI, and PGH, have initiated the local production of much-needed medical-grade PPE for our health workers.

“This is the first batch of 300k coveralls to be donated to DOH for the use of our frontliners,” DOH said.

“As our frontliners risk their lives every day to save other people, the DOH is committed in providing all the support needed to protect our frontliners in fulfilling their duties. DOH will continue to seek out ways to lessen the various risks to our frontliners as their safety and wellbeing remain our top priority,” the health department said.
