The Philippine Air Force (PAF) will be receiving the first 10 of 16 S-70i Black Hawk combat utility helicopters (CUHs) in 2020.
Inquirer.net cited PAF commanding general Lieutenant General Rozzano D. Briguez who said in an event last week that the first 10 Black Hawk CUHs will be delivered in batches next year.
The remaining Black Hawks will be delivered 2021. The S-70i Black Hawk helicopters will be built in Poland.
During PAF’s 72nd anniversary celebration of PAF at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City on July 2, Lieutenant General Briguez mentioned about the delivery of Black Hawk CUHs.
“Sixteen combat utility helicopters (CUHs) and an additional six NC-212i light lift aircraft are expected to arrive starting next year to support various operations,” the Air Force chief said.
