Wounded young NPA member rescued by Army in battlefield

Members of the 29th Infantry Battalion of the 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army saved a young fighter of the New People’s Army who got wounded in an encounter in Barangay San Isidro, Santiago, Agusan del Norte last Nov. 2, 2019.

The fighter known as alias “Kent” was recruited by the New People’s Army to join in its bloody fight against the government when he was only 17.

He was abandoned by the terrorists during the encounter resulting to his capture.

Government troops immediately performed a first aid upon finding him and rushed him to the nearest hospital to get proper treatment. Currently, he is still at the hospital to recover from his injuries. PHILIPPINE ARMY
