US, PHL navies reaffirm ties during Pacific Fleet Commander’s visit


The reaffirmation of commitment and enhancement of collaboration and partnership were the keynotes of the visit of the United States Pacific Fleet commander, Adm. Samuel Paparo to the Philippine Navy (PN) headquarters today, July 9.

Admiral Paparo rendered a courtesy call on PN Flag Officer In Command, Rear Adm. Adeluis Bordado and discussed future collaboration through naval exercises and the furtherance of both countries long-standing ties.


Both leaders also tackled the sustainment of stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific regions vast maritime domain through what Admiral Paparo described as respecting maritime boundaries, respecting Exclusive Economic Zones, and joining with one another to make sure that everybody is upholding that same rule.

The United States Pacific Fleet is the worlds largest fleet command. Admiral Paparo is serving as the 37th commander since the establishment of its Pearl Harbor headquarters in February 1941. PHILIPPINE NAVY
