President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the promotion of three (3) senior police officials assigned in Police Regional Offices and the National Headquarters into one-star police generals.
PNP Chief, Police General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan officiated the formal promotion rites and administered the oath of office to the promoted police officials and the traditional donning of ranks ceremony at the PNP Star Officers’ Lounge in Camp Crame.
Promoted to the rank of Police Brigadier General are:
POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL RONALDO MENDOZA – Deputy Regional Director for Administration of Police Regional Office 8 (Eastern Visayas)
POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL RANDOLF BALONGLONG – Deputy Regional Director for Administration of Police Regional Office 1 (Ilocos Region), and
POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ANTONINO CIRUJALES – Executive Officer of the Directorate for Human Resource Doctrine and Development
The PNP Chief said that more police officials are expected to be elevated to new posts and promoted as more senior officials are set to retire from the service upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56. PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE
