President Rodrigo Roa Duterte honored fallen Russian warriors at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow, Russia on Friday, October 4.

The President, who is on a five-day official visit to Russia, laid a wreath at the Kremlin Wall located at the Alexander Garden.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of Moscow is a war memorial dedicated to the Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War from 1941 to 1945. In front of the tomb is an Eternal Flame with the inscription: “Your name is unknown, your deed is immortal.”

The Chief Executive will cap his trip Saturday with a meeting with the Filipino community in Russia.

Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, and Philippine Ambassador to the Russian Federation Carlos Sorreta. PND
