Philippine Navy ship holds maritime patrol, exercise with Malaysian Navy vessel

BRP MIGUEL MALVAR (PS19) safely and successfully conducted coordinated Maritime Patrol and Naval Exercise with Royal Malaysian Navy vessel KD JERONG (YS3505) at vicinity off Mataking Island, Malaysia last 22 January 2020 in connection with Trilateral Cooperative Agreement (TCA) with Malaysia and Indonesia.

Aside from the conduct of coordinated patrol, Publication Exercise (PUBEX), OOW Maneuvering Exercise (MANEX), Semaphore Exercise (SEMAPHOREX), Rescue and Assistance (RAS) Exercise, Manning the Rail and Passing Honors were likewise conducted.

This worthwhile maritime activity has been regularly conducted to strengthen our diplomatic relations and friendship with Malaysia and Indonesia as well as enhance the interoperability and security cooperation with our neighboring countries with common maritime areas of concern.
