In a modest but meaningful ceremony, Rear Admiral Alberto B Carlos PN, Commander Philippine Fleet, lead the Fleet in honoring Mrs. Yolanda P. Del Carmen and Mr. Ruben B. Vinarao in celebrating their individual milestones in life.
Mrs. Yolanda P. Del Carmen more popularly known as “Ate Yolly”‘ was honored for her 38 years of selfless and dedicated service to the nation as one of the Fleet’s Civilian Human Resource (CHR), having started her career with the Naval Defense Force (NDF) prior to its integration with the Sealift Amphibious Command (SAC) in 1988. Remarkably, her exemplary performance during her stint with the Philippine Fleet significantly contributed to the overall accomplishment of its mission.
Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Carlos lauded Mr. Ruben “Mang Benny” B. Vinarao, CHR, Administrative Aide VI, (Electrician Il) for having been adjudged as the Civilian Human Resource of the Year. His noteworthy accomplishments include the timely and accurate estimation of repairs and installation as well as efficient repairs and maintenance of various types of air conditioning units. His efforts assured the Command of a physical work environment conducive to higher efficiency and productivity of offices at Headquarters Philippine Fleet (HPF). Thus, significantly contributing to the morale and welfare of all Fleet personnel.
In his remarks. Rear Admiral Carlos expressed his gratitude and utmost respect to Ate Yolly and Mang Benny for their remarkable contributions to the organization. He also underscored the Fleet’s efforts of continuously celebrating the goodness of life especially during these trying times. “Thirteen months after the world came to an abrupt halt and was confronted with humanity’s greatest challenge for this generation, l am delighted to know that we still pursue activities which cerebrate the goodness of life. On behalf of all the Officers, Enlisted Personnel and your fellow Civilian Human Resources, allow me to extend my deepest and profound gratitude for your outstanding contributions. Thank you Mang Benny for your continuing service and to Ate Yolly, l wish you all the best of what life has to offer as you embark on a new chapter in your life, Maraming Salamat po for your service, ” Rear Admiral Carlos said.
