Philippine Coast Guard showcases floating, air assets

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) showcased its floating and aerial assets to the new members of the PCG Auxiliary (PCGA) Executive Squadron yesterday, 19 May 2021.

During the capability demonstration, PCG Commandant, Admiral George V Ursabia Jr explained how various Coast Guard units work to uphold safety of lives and properties at sea, especially in times of emergency.

The successful conduct of the capability demonstration proved that Coast Guardians continue to live up to the Latin phrase, “SEMPER PARATUS” which means “ALWAYS READY” in performing their duties and responsibilities for the nation.

As members of the PCGA Executive Squadron, Rep. Edgar Mary Sarmiento of the First District of Samar, Rep. Cheryl Deloso-Montalla of the Second District of Zambales, Gov. Edwin Ongchuan of Northern Samar, Commissioner Ronald Gian Carlo Cardema of the National Youth Commission (NYC), and Rep. Ducielle Marie Cardema of the Duterte Youth Party-list and Vice-Chairman of the House Committee on National Defense and Security committed to assist the PCG in the performance of its mandates, most especially in the conduct of humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations.
