Philippine Coast Guard helicopter transports vaccines to Catanduanes, Masbate

The Philippine Coast Guard (CGAF) embarked on another COVID-19 vaccine transport mission from Legazpi City, Albay to Catanduanes and Masbate on 28 to 29 April 2021.

CGAF pilot, Commander Dino Garcia turned over a total of 1,900 vials of SINOVAC vaccine to the Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Catanduanes, while approximately 4,200 vials were delivered to the PHO of Masbate.

Moreover, CGAF’s CGH-1452 ensured the safe and swift transport of more than 1,100 vials of SINOVAC vaccine to the Regional Health Units (RHUs) of Claveria and San Jacinto in Masbate for appropriate storage and immediate utilization.

Said initiative was in support of the national government’s inoculation drive to address challenges brought about by the ongoing pandemic.
