Philippine National Police Chief, PGen Archie Francisco Gamboa has commended the PNP Drug Enforcement Group for its new accomplishment following the arrest of three (3) drug suspects, including a Chinese national, and confiscation of Php 5.1 billion pesos worth of ‘shabu’ in Bulacan Province.
PDEG Director, Police Brigadier General Romeo Caramat Jr. reported the big-time buy bust operation to Police General Gamboa that a Chinese national was allegedly running a-billion-peso drug trade conniving with two (2) Filipina.
As a swift action from PDEG to thwart the illegal business, Caramat ordered the Special Operations Unit4 of PDEG Bulacan in coordination with Marilao MPS to launch a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of YUWEN CAI (Chinese National), ANGELA MIOLE TULIO, and MA. LYN MIOLE TULIO yesterday, June 4, on Reley Street, Barangay Lias, Marilao, Bulacan.
Caramat noted that 63 boxes containing more or less 756 kilograms of suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride commonly known as “Shabu” were confiscated with an estimated value of Php 5,140,800, 000.00 based on the estimation of Dangerous Drugs Board.
Also seized from the suspects were buy-bust boodle money amounting to Php 1 million. Suspects are now under the custody of PDEG for filing of criminal charges for violation the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act Of 2002.
“I would like to commend the PDEG under the leadership of General Caramat for this accomplishment. This is proof that there is no let up in the PNP’s campaign against illegal drugs even as we are faced with the COVID-19 pandemic,” Gamboa said.
The PNP Chief also expressed his gratitude to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for his invaluable support to the PNP in all aspects of its operations as “we relentlessly pursue lawless elements behind illegal drugs.” PNP-PIO
