Newly appointed Australian Assistant Defense Attaché visits Navy headquarters

The newly appointed Assistant Defense Attaché of Australia to the Philippines, Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Treble rendered introductory call on the Flag Officer In Command, Philippine Navy represented by the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Rey T. Dela earlier today, February 6 here at the PN headquarters.

During the call, the continuing bilateral ties between the two navies were discussed. Both the Philippines and Australia have an existing memorandum of agreement and understanding which focused on defense cooperation and anti-terrorism efforts.

Lt. Col. Andrew Treble succeeds Lt. Col. Gideon Karl Schrimgeor as the Assistant Defense Attaché of Australia to the country.
