Navy ship BRP Davao Del Sur ferries relief goods to Cagayan

Philippine Navy (PN) vessel BRP Davao Del Sur (LD602), departed South Harbor in Manila earlier today, December 5, to transport consolidated relief goods to Cagayan as the province is yet to recover from the massive flooding spurred by the recent typhoon.

LD602, skippered by Cmdr. Elmer Toriado is carrying around 76 tons of assorted relief goods donated by various personalities, non-government organizations and government.

Said mission is spearheaded by the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) and the Civil-Military Operations Group of the Philippine Navy (CMOG-PN) with the strong and unending support of the partner-stakeholders.

The PN continues to deploy all available assets in support of relief and rehabilitation efforts intended for the populace gravely affected by the recent calamities.

The PN is one with the local government units in bringing prompt, responsive and effective assistance as communities recuperate from yet another calamity amid the ongoing pandemic.
