Navy participates in Coastal Security Enforcement Drill Incident Command System in Ormoc City


Naval Forces Central through LCDR JOEY C PLAN PN, Commanding Officer, Naval Special Operations Unit – 5 and LCDR JOHN PAUL P ACIO PN, Commanding Officer, BRP Alfredo Peckson (PC372) joined in the Ormoc City Local Government Unit initiated Coastal Security Enforcement Drill Incident Command System (Anti-Terrorism, Piracy, Bomb Detection, Firefighting, and Search and Rescue Demonstration Exercise) together with different LGU, Law Enforcement Agencies, and other AFP units in Ormoc City held at seawaters of Ormoc City, Leyte last April 15, 2021.

The joint exercise was conducted safety and successfully, spearheaded by Mayor Richard I. Gomez and Vice Mayor Leo Carmelo L. Locsin Jr. together with their LGU staff. The said exercise is a local inter-agency training purposely conducted to test and enhance capability and maintain the operational readiness of all government and non-government units & assets in Ormoc City in responding to maritime security challenges in the coastal waters of the city and nearby areas of the Eastern Visayas.


The NFC participation aims to promote a stronghold with our allies and trust of the people in the Visayas. and to further strengthen relationships with its partner stakeholders in Eastern Visayas as well as foster greater ties and collaboration for future joint operations.
