Navy deploys personnel, vehicles to transport health care workers

The Philippine Navy (PN) redeployed its personnel and several vehicles to aid the Joint Task Force-NCRs Libreng Sakay operations for health care workers following the implementation of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

The PN deployed its troops and vehicles in the JTF-NCR Libreng Sakay operations plying the Commonwealth- Welcome Rotonda and Pasay – Monumento routes. Said routes provide free transportation to hundreds of Filipinos everyday.

Furthermore, the PN instructed its troops manning various quarantine stations in Marikina City, Susana Heights, Alabang and in the boundary of Las Piñas and Cavite in CAVITEX to strictly observe health and safety protocols while providing assistance to the national government carry out an orderly but strict MECQ guidelines.

The Navys efforts against COVID-19 such as regular patrol of all sea entry points, and deployment of troops to man airports, swabbing facilities, and other quarantine stations will continue as long as Metro Manila is placed under community quarantine.

This demonstrates the PNs utmost commitment in providing assistance to the Filipino people who is adversely affected of the pandemic. NAVY.MIL.PH
