Naval Air Wing conducts aero medical evacuation

The Naval Air Wing in Western Mindanao, through Navy Islander NV 310, was directed by the Western Mindanao Command to execute an Air Medical Evacuation on Apr. 9, 2020 for a constituent of Jolo, Sulu who was experiencing stroke and needed immediate further medical attention, alongside other transport ops that the said aircraft was tasked to undertake.

Together with the patient’s attending physician, NV310 successfully transported them to Zamboanga City to be then sent to the appropriate medical facility.

After the said aeromedical evacuation, the pilots and aircrew of NV310 underwent sanitization and disinfection process to eliminate possible contamination from COVID-19 in compliance to the inter-island transportation protocol set forth by the national and local government.
