Marine Corps students hurdle rigorous training

Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo J. Bacordo PN, Flag Officer-in-Command, Philippine Navy, graced the joint graduation ceremony for the students of the Marine Officer Basic Course, Marine Basic NCO Leadership Course, and Marine Advance NCO Leadership Course at the Marine Base in Ternate on May 31, 2021.

MGen. Ariel R. Caculitan PN(M), Commandant, Philippine Marine Corps, received and welcomed VAdm. Bacordo as the Guest of Honor and speaker.

VAdm. Bacordo congratulated the graduating students and commended them for hurdling the rigors of the training. “Your training required a lot from you – physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional endurance. The physical, mental, and spiritual obstacles go naturally with every course that you need to advance in your careers, but in our current setting, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, your mental and emotional strengths were put to the test more than ever,” acknowledged VAdm. Bacordo in his remarks.

The occasion was made more memorable when VAdm. Bacordo bid farewell to the Marines as he is set to retire on June 8, 2021.

The graduates will report to their respective units after their mandatory quarantine. PHILIPPINE MARINE CORPS
