Indonesia, Philippines hold coordinated patrol

The Philippine Navy’s Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao successfully conducted the 2nd Leg of Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT PHILINDO XXXV-21) with the Indonesian Navy at the vicinity of 20 Nautical Miles Southwest off Balut Island, Sarangani, Davao Occidental July 28-30, 2021.

The activity was participated by BRP Apolinario Mabini (PS36), Philippine Naval air asset NV394 and KRI-Layang 635 of the Indonesian Navy.

Notwithstanding unfavorable weather and rough sea conditions enroute to exercise area and during the conduct of coordinated patrols, both navy contingents successfully accomplished said activity

BRP Apolinario Mabini (PS36) and KRI Layang-635 conducts following exercises: COMMELEX, MANEX, FLAGHOIST, SEMAPHOREX, PHOTOEX and PASSEX.

CORPAT PHILINDO is a mutual agreement between two neighboring navies which promotes interoperability, and enhancing security between two maritime borders.
