Former Navy chiefs visit BRP Jose Rizal

Three former Navy Chiefs, Vice Adm. Eduardo Ma. R. Santos PN(Ret), Rear Adm. Danilo M. Cortez PN(Ret) and Vice Adm. Robert A. Empedrad PN(Ret) visited the BRP Jose Rizal (FF150) at Pier 13, South Harbor, Port Area, Manila last 07 October 2020.

BRP Jose Rizal (FF150) is the Philippine Navy’s newest and first missile-capable frigate that just arrived home from her successful participation in the world’s biggest naval exercises, the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2020.

During the visit, the former Navy Chiefs were accorded with sideboys honors and warmly received by the Commander Philippine Fleet, Rear Adm. Loumer P. Bernabe PN.

Further, FF150 offered a ship’s tour to showcase and present her modern capabilities.

Said activity was conducted under a “new normal” situation with strict adherence to health and biosafety protocols such as limited social distancing and mandatory wearing of face mask and face shield. PHILIPPINE FLEET
