Philippine Fleet briefs AFP Deputy Chief of Staff on modern assets, future upgrades

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Vice Adm. Erick A Kagaoan PN, officially visited the Philippine Fleet last January 22, 2021.

The Commander, Philippine Fleet, Rear Adm. Loumer P. Bernabe PN together with PF Command Team warmly welcomed the TDCS, AFP and his party at Headquarters Philippine Fleet, Naval Base Heracleo Alano.

During his visit, Vice Adm. Kagaoan was accorded with sideboys honors followed by the wreath-laying ceremony at Sailor’s Heroes Memorial honoring his beneficial contributions, excellent accomplishments, unwavering commitment and unflattering service to the Philippine Navy, people and our country.

Similarly, the purpose of the ceremony is to remember our dear sailors who now lie in rest and honor their lives for their ultimate sacrifices in the name of duty and service to the nation.

Likewise, a Command briefing followed by a capability briefing of Multi-Purpose Attack Craft (MPAC) and Naval Air Wing (NAW) assets was also presented to Vice Adm. Kagaoan showcasing the Command’s current modern sea and air assets, future upgrades, plans, efforts and initiatives of the Philippine Fleet in support to the accomplishment of the AFP as a whole.

The activity was conducted under the new normal situation with strict adherence to health and biosafety protocols such as but not limited to critical distancing and mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields in preventing the spread of Covid-19. PHILIPPINE FLEET
