The government launched on August 6 the One Hospital Command Center (OHCC), which was established to monitor the bed capacity of hospitals in Metro Manila and refer COVID-19 patients who need to be isolated and treated.

“This One Hospital Command Center will maximize the use of our main commanding treatment and also facilities which have been built specifically for mild and symptomatic cases,” said National Task Force on COVID-19 Chief Implementer Carlito G. Galvez Jr.

The command center will provide an integrated and coordinated health care monitoring system for COVID-19 cases. In particular, it will facilitate the transfer and referral of patients, while providing medical direction among hospitals.

“Sa pamamagitan ng sistema na ito, maipapababa pa natin ang mortality rate ng COVID-patients na siyang pangunahin nating layunin sa second phase ng National Action Plan against COVID-19,” Galvez noted.
