Bangladesh Ambassador, Navy chief discuss future engagements of Bangladesh Navy, PN

The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Philippines, Asad Alam Siam, paid a courtesy call on the Philippine Navy (PN) Flag Officer In Command, Rear Adm. Adeluis Bordado, at the PN headquarters today, June 22.

Future engagements and collaborations between the PN and the Bangladesh Armed Forces and Navy were among those discussed during said visit.

The Philippines and Bangladesh have strong bilateral ties. Both countries opened missions in each other’s capital in 1981.

The courtesy call exemplifies the role that the Philippine Navy plays in promoting the country’s diplomatic relations to other nations which further aids in maintaining peace, stability, and cooperation in the region.
