The newly appointed Commanding General of the Philippine Army (CGPA), Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana visited the Philippine Navy (PN) headquarters here today, August 25.
The Army chief was accorded with fitting honors as he arrived at the Navy headquarters.
During the visit, Navy chief Vice Adm. Giovanni Carlo J. Bacordo met with Army chief Lt. Gen. Sobejana to discuss several interoperability matters that are relevant to accomplishing the missions and goals of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
This introductory visit of CGPA to the Navy headquarters aims to further strengthen the coordination and solidifies interoperability operations between the Philippine Navy and the Philippine Army which enables both branches of service to further address various internal and external security threats and challenges amid the global pandemic brought by COVID-19.
The activity was conducted under the new normal situation with strict adherence to health and biosafety protocols such as but not limited to critical social distancing and mandatory wearing of face masks and shields placed by the national government to stem the transmission of COVID-19. NAVY.MIL.PH
