The Philippine Air Force airlifted various Medical Equipment for use of Western Visayas Medical Center, Iloilo City via NC212i Aircraft from BGen Benito N Ebuen Air Base, Lapu-Lapu City to Iloilo International Airport on March 28, 2020.
The arrival of medical equipment facilitated by the Tactical Operations Group 6, Philippine Air Force is expected to reinforce the collective efforts of local and national government agencies in the fight against COVID-19.
Officials from Western Visayas Medical Center arrived at the airport to welcome the critical shipment. They described the flight as a beautiful expression of how the government agencies and non-government organizations can unite and work in an integrated fashion especially in a difficult time for the good of the country and its people.
With the current situation, the TOG 6 leads by example religiously observing safety measures especially in the use of personal protective equipment to prevent the spread and transmission of the virus as well as strictly enforce body temperature check to all personnel involved within the area.
