AFP chief visits Philippine Navy


The Chief-of-Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), Lt. Gen. Jose Faustino Jr. made his official visit to the Philippine Navy (PN) today, August 10 at the headquarters of Philippine Fleet (PF) in Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City.

CSAFP Faustino was accorded a traditional sideboys honor, and welcomed by the PN Flag Officer In Command, Vice Adm. Adeluis Bordado along with the PF Command team at the Naval Air Wing Lounge.

Talk to Troops then followed at Magluyan Hall participated by the Forces, Wing, Group and Center commanders and personnel, as well as floating/air assets personnel participating virtually. Mutual interests of navy-to-navy training, support and new ideas of enhancing the cooperation between navies were discussed during the open forum.


The Philippine Navy has indeed fulfilled its mission as a force provider through the rational deployment of Philippine Navy personnel and assets to support the unified Commands campaigns, said Faustino while addressing the attendees.

The Naval Air Wing, as another highlight of the visit, rendered Honorary Flag Rank Command and Honorary Command Naval Aviator Badge to the visiting AFP chief and awarded him for successfully flying an AW109 naval helicopter.

The activity culminated with the exchanges of mementos/souvenirs between AFP Chief, Lt. Gen. Faustino Jr. and Navy Chief Vice Adm. Bordado with a departure honor. NAVY.MIL.PH
