The construction of new passenger terminal of Clark International Airport under Expansion Project is now at 53% completion rate.
Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade, and Bases and Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) President and Chief Executive Officer Vince Dizon led the inspection of the said expansion today.
“With a design that speaks of the unique characteristics of Central Luzon and Pampanga, the new Passenger Terminal Building will increase Clark International Airport’s capacity to 12.2 million passengers annually,” DOTr said.
“It is also expected to decongest Ninoy Aquino International Airport and help create jobs and boost economic development in Central Luzon,” it added.
It is expected to be operational by 2020.
