Japanese, PHL officials visit New Clark City construction site

Government officials from the Philippines and Japan visit the New Clark City (NCC) in Capas, Tarlac today, 19 June 2019.

Present in the site visit were Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koji Haneda, Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Director General and Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Vivencio Dizon, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Assistant Secretary Rolando Toledo, and Japanese Special Adviser to the Cabinet Shigeru Kiyama.

Targeted for completion on 31 August 2019, the NCC National Government Administrative Center (NGAC) Phase 1A spans 40 hectares of land, and covers the construction of government buildings and housing.

It also includes the construction of facilities for the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in November 2019, such as the Athletics Stadium, Aquatics Center, Athletes’ Village, and a river park.  DOTR
